We are about to enter Week 6, 2021 of a scheme which is no longer new, and improving in reach and efficiency, all down to a team of enthusiastic and hardworking volunteers. Brackley folk continue to support with their gifts and their goodwill, but we are not complacent. If you want to help out in our two stores, with driving, or a host of smaller but crucial admin roles done at home, contact me at enquiries@brackleyfoodbank.
org. I will reply to any offers as soon as I can. If you know of anyone who is struggling, with loneliness, money problems, or depression, let us know, but check with the person concerned; they might just need a kind word and some listening, and they don't cost anything except time. Could you do that for someone you know?
GIVING
You can drop your local donations in Waitrose, High Street Co-op and Croughton Co-op during shop hours, or at Unit 6, Network 43, Buckingham Road, on Thursdays between 12 and 2 pm. We only take prepacked food; fresh food can only be kept for a short time, and we have limited facilities for recycling.
Stop Press!
We now have bright new collection baskets in the Burgess Square Co-op, and the new Sainsbury's, courtesy of the management in each shop.
